Key Commands for Navigating and Highlighting, and Copy Pasting Text on a Web Page into a Word Processor

Contol down arrow moves you down the text one paragraph at a time. Control up arrow move you up the text one paragraph at a time. Home puts you at the beginning of the line you are on. End puts you at the end of the line you are on. Shift right arrow highlights one letter or number at a time. Control Shift right arrow highlights one word or number at a time. Shift down arrow highlights one line at a time (not sentence, but line). Control c copies the text you have highlighted. Control v pastes the text you have copied into a word processor.

Graphics

Graphical items can be pictures of screen shots, movies, cartoon type items. Many screen readers allow you to hit the letter g to move forward through the graphics on a web page. Some graphics are labeled so that you know what they are, while others are not. In those cases where a graphic is not labeled you will probably need to have sighted assistance. If the graphic is important and not labeled, some screen readers allow you to label the graphic for your screen reader. Following is a labeled graphic screenshot.
